Bay Boys’ Cross Country Runs at Boardman Invite

On September 13, 2025, the Bay High School Rockets Boys' Cross Country team participated in the prestigious Boardman Spartan Invite at Boardman High School, facing some of the top teams in the state. The Rockets finished 22nd place out of 38 teams.
Leading the Bay High School pack was Sacha Jones, followed closely by teammates Gavin English, Liam Jager, Stephen Murphy, and Michael Taylor. The team had a notably close time gap, with only a minute separating the first and fifth runners.
In the open race, the Rockets continued to exhibit strong pack running techniques. Dan Buttrick led the way, with Graham Dunstan, Max Clevenger, and Athan Thanos trailing closely behind him.
Looking ahead, the Rockets are set to compete next at the Cardinal Invite, held at Cardinal High School on September 20th.
